Dr. Aziz R. Maksoud went to the American University of Beirut. Dr. Maksoud is board certified in the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Cardiology, the American Board of Nuclear Cardiology, and the American Board of Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Bassem Chehab went to Lebanese University in Labanon. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine. Dr. Chehab’s practice focuses on Interventional Cardiology, Valvular and Structural Disorders, Peripheral Artery Disease, Peripheral Vascular Intervention, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Pulmonary Veins Stenosis, Fibromuscular Dysplasia, Cardiac CT angiography and Advanced Imaging Techniques.

Dr. Christian Hourani went to University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Hourani is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.

Dr. Farhoud is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Jason T. Tauke went to the University of Iowa – Iowa City. Dr. Tauke is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Patrick Ters went to Lebanese University – Faculty of Medical Sciences Beirut, Lebanon. Dr. Ters is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, Vascular Interpretation, and Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr. Wassim H. Shaheen went to the American University of Beirut and completed his residency at the University of Kansas. Dr. Shaheen is board certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.

Dr. Venkata S. Boppana received his Medical Degree from NTR University in Andhra Pradesh, India. Dr. Boppana, Subbu as he prefers to be called, is Board-Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, and Vascular Interpretation.

Dr. Gedela completed specialized fellowships in Structural Heart Disease and Interventional Cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, and received the John L Boice Internal Medicine Residency Scholarship award. Dr. Gedela offers a wide range of advanced procedures, including Coronary Stenting, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and more.

Dr. Yazan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Jordan Faculty of Medicine and is Board-Certified. He completed his training at various esteemed medical institutions, including East Tennessee State University/Quillen College of Medicine and the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. His clinical interests encompass percutaneous coronary intervention, structural heart interventions, and advanced cardiac imaging.

Dr. Antonio Carro, M.D. went to the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Carro is a Certified American Board of Family Physicians and American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Brian Comer, D.O., graduated from Des Moines University-College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Comer completed residency training with the United States Air force and University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Comer is a diplomat with the American Board of Family Medicine, and a member of the American Academy of Primary Care Endoscopy. Dr. Comer is the team physician for the Mulvane High School and the Derby Twins collegiate baseball program.

Dr. David Niederee, M.D. went to the Creighton University School of Medicine. Dr. Niederee is a certified AAFP and is the team doctor for Derby High School.

Dr. Gregory Bongers went to the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Bongers is Board Certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Heba Ferguson went to the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine. Dr. Ferguson is Board Certified in Family Medicine, a member of the AAFP, and a member of CDMA.

Dr. Marty Turner went to the University of Missouri (Kansas City, MO). Dr. Turner is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Stephen Hawks went to the University Osteopathic Medical Health Science.

Dr. Imad Nassif is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has been in practice since 1999 and is experienced in general and advanced endoscopy, pancreato-biliary diseases and endoscopy, hepatology, inflammatory bowel diseases, and lumenal gastroenterology. He gained his medical degree from St. Joseph University Medical School. He received his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Hospital, Galveston and his fellowship in Internal Medicine at State University of New York, Brooklyn.

Dr. Aaron Nilhas received his medical degree and his residency in General Surgery from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Dr. Austin George is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He gained his medical degree and his residency from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Dr. Mark Niederee is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He gained his medical degree and his residency in General Surgery and Family Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Dr. Ashley S. Robbins graduated from Kansas State University and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Robbins is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is licensed by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.

Dr. Edmond G. Feuille. Jr. received his graduate degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Whisler completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology through the University of Kansas School of Medicine and Wesley Medical Center.

Dr. Melissa A. Hodge has her graduate degree from the University of Kansas and completed both her Family Practice and Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency with the University of Kansas-Wichita. She is board certified in Family Practice and in OB/GYN.

Dr. Rhea Rogers graduated from Benedict College in Columbia and she got her M.D. from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. Dr. Rogers is board certified from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is licensed by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts and the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure & Supervision.

Dr. John Womack graduated from The University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Kansas / Via Christi. In addition to being a full time Hospital based physician since 2003, Dr. Womack serves as the Medical Director for The Center at Waterfront, Good Shepherd Hospice and The Wichita Children’s Home

Dr. Surdez received his medical degree at the University of Kansas and completed his Family Medicine residency training at Via Christi in Wichita.

Dr. Young is a fellowship trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement. He attended Kansas State University where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He then attended Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska before returning to Kansas for residency at the University of Kansas, Wichita. He went on to complete fellowships at the University of Florida and Johns Hopkins including advanced training in hip and knee replacement.

Dr. John Babb specializes in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He finished his orthopedic residency in 2007 at Campbell Clinic and his fellowship in sports medicine at Cincinnati Sports Medicine Clinic. Dr. Babb joined Mid-America Orthopedics in August of 2008.

He received his Bachelor of Science from University of Akron in Akron, OH and then his Doctor of Medicine from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, OH. He completed his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and followed with a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Cincinnati, OH.

Dr. Pat Do founded Mid-America Orthopedics in 2000. He specializes in Orthopedic Surgery, specifically in sports medicine and workers’ compensation injuries. In addition to his founding in this practice, Dr. Do is the founder of a national consulting effort to help physicians across the country establish and improve their practices.

Dr. Ryan Livermore attended the University of Kansas where he graduated with a Bachelors of General Studies in Human Biology. Later, he got his Doctorate of Medicine from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and returned to the University of Kansas to complete his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Livermore specializes in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and has several years of experience treating orthopedic sports injuries, work injuries, and general orthopedic conditions to include fracture care.

Dr. William Messamore is a board-eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon. He earned his undergraduate, graduate, and medical degrees at the University of Kansas.

Dr. Eric Bunting is a board-certified otolaryngologist. He got his B.S. at Kansas State University and his Doctor in Medicine at University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Bunting is board certified in the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is also a member in several professional societies including the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Medical Society of Sedgwick County, Kansas Medical Society, American Academy of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery and Fellow Diplomat of the American Academy of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Michael Mueller went to Kansas State University for a B.A. and the University of Kansas School of Medicine for an M.D. Dr. Mueller is board certified.

Dr. Jon Morgan completed his medical education at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He specializes in Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is board certified in foot and rearfoot reconstructive/ankle surgery. Dr. Morgan joined Mid-America Orthopedics in 2013.

Dr. Steven Ericksen is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in spine surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine, and completed his five-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio. He completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the accredited William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan.

Dr. Thomas Frimpong earned his doctoral degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Frimpong is a Board Certified Neurological Surgeon and Interventional Pain Management Specialist.

Dr. Byrd received his medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He completed his internship and residencies in the specialties of surgery and urology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Byrd joined the practice in August 2007.

Dr. Davis received his medical degree from the University Of Nebraska, College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his internship in General Surgery followed by his residency in Urologic Surgery at Oklahoma University Health Science Center, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and he is board certified by the American Board of Urology. He joined the group in August 2013.

Dr. Chad P. Ammar went to the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Ammar is Board Certified in General Surgery.
